Special Election for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 18th!

Georgians: Asian Americans, Latinos, and African Americans make up almost 25% of the 6th District’s population. Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta (“Advancing Justice - Atlanta”) and the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS) are leading a diverse coalition of organizations such as the Georgia Muslim Voter Project, the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - Clayton County, and many more to call, door knock, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) in this high profile election.

Since April 1, Advancing Justice - Atlanta and CPACS have called and canvassed neighborhoods in throughout the district, recruiting 60 volunteers to join them in educating voters on the importance of their vote, where they can vote early, and how to find their polling location. Door hangers informing voters how to vote and what ID to bring were created in English, Bengali, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Spanish.

If you live in the district, you can find your polling location at or check your registration at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov or call Advancing Justice - Atlanta at (404) 585-8446. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (8 p.m. in cities with over 300,000 people).

If you want to help Get Out the Vote, it is not too late! Join Advancing Justice - Atlanta today, Monday, April 17, from 5-8 p.m. as they go door knocking in Johns Creek. Have fun as you empower Asian American, Latino, and African American voters and meet other cool volunteers! Sign up by emailing Raymond Partolan at rpartolan@advancingjustice-atlanta.org.
