It all starts here. Register to vote so you can participate and vote in elections.
- You have to be a U.S. citizen.
- You need to be at least 18 years old on Election Day (November 3, 2020).
- You must be a resident of the state you are registering in.
Registering to vote can be different in various states—but the process starts here.
You may need to re-register if your address, party affiliation, or name has changed since you last registered. Many states require you to register to vote in advance of the election.
