NATIONAL COUNCIL OF ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICANS RELEASES POLICY PLATFORM IN LAUNCH OF APIAVOTE'S NATIONAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) join together with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders to discuss the release of their 2020 Policy Platform and kick-off APIAVote’s 10-day National AAPI Leadership Summit.
WHAT: NCAPA and prominent AAPI leaders will gather to discuss community engagement practices and present a comprehensive set of policy recommendations related to the AA and NHPI community. The platform covers issue areas that include
- Civil Rights
- AAPI Workers
WHO: Programming includes
- Rep. Judy Chu (CA-27), Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC)
- Gregg Orton, Executive Director of the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA)
- Christine Chen, Executive Director of Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote)
