    2018 Asian American Voter Survey

    survey released today by Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote) and AAPIData reveals many insights into the fastest-growing racial group in the United States, including their voting plans for House and Senate races in 2018, and various issue priorities such as education, health care, and the state of the economy.  In addition to election-related topics, the survey also contains key opinion data on affirmative action, labor protections, and immigration policy, including the administration’s recently announced plans to revoke the legal status of immigrants with green cards who have used government assistance.

    2016 National Asian American Survey

    This report includes findings from the 2016 National Asian American Survey (NAAS), a nationally representative survey of 2,238 Asian American and 305 Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) adult interviews conducted by telephone from August 10 to September 29, 2016. This particular report focuses on the 1,694 Asian American and 261 NHPI registered voters who took the survey, with an overall margin of error +/- 3.5%. Future reports will examine the policy views of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in greater depth and civic engagement among noncitizens and citizens alike.

    Spotlight on the 50+ AAPI Population Report

    The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander population above the age of 50 is one of the fastest growing segments of an already rapidly growing racial group. However, gaps in civic engagement, education, and outreach persist for AAPI, particularly AAPI 50+. There is a lack of outreach for both voting and volunteerism, as well as a lack of outreach through popular mediums, such as ethnic media.

    An Agenda for Justice Contours of Public Opinion Among Asian Americans

    Along with the growing presence of Asian American voters is a growing interest in the opinions and priorities of this electorate. This report presents the results of interviews conducted by telephone from August 14 to September 11, 2014, of 1,337 registered voters who identify as Asian American, producing an overall margin of sampling error of +/- 2.7%.
